Frequently Asked Questions
When are your services?
We meet every Sunday at 7:30am, 9:30am and 6:00pm. Our three services vary in style and format, but the same sermon is preached at all services. Keep reading to find out what to expect at each of our services.
What can I expect at the 7:30am service?
Our 7:30am service is a traditional Anglican Prayer Book Service with Holy Communion. This service takes place in the St George’s Church Building, with tea and toast is served in the hall afterwards.
What can I expect at the 9:30am service?
Our 9:30am service is a contemporary family service held in the hall. We begin the service all together for singing, announcements and a kids’ talk, and then our children are invited to leave for Sunday School in the church building whilst the adults remain in the hall for the sermon. Morning Tea is served after church with an enclosed playground available for children. All are encouraged to stay back after church for a coffee and a chat.
What can I expect at the 6:00pm service?
Our 6:00pm service is a contemporary service held on Sunday Evenings in the hall. We are a small but growing group of Christians who enjoy gathering weekly to hear great Bible teaching, singing contemporary music and sharing life over tea, coffee and snacks after the service. The service also includes a Question & Answer time after the sermon where anyone is invited to SMS their questions through to our dedicated Q&A Phone Number. Some of those who attend our 6pm have service have young children. We don’t have a formal kids’ program running during the service, but children are always welcome and our creche area is available for parents who want to sit with their own kids while still listening to the sermon.
I have kids. What’s available for them?
Our Sunday School runs each Sunday of the school term during the 9:30am service. Children begin in church with their parents where they will hear a kids’ talk from the front, and are then invited to leave for Sunday School which takes place in the Church Building across the lawn. We also have two baby & toddler areas available for young families; an unsupervised play area where parents can watch their own children during the service, and a supervised play area available for the duration of Sunday School so parents can enjoy the sermon knowing their babies and toddlers are being cared for by our volunteers. Our Sunday School Team are committed volunteers who love Jesus and love kids, and all carry a valid Working With Children Check.
Kids’ Activity Packs are available during the school holidays and there is an area available at the back of our hall for parents who need extra space for their babies and toddlers to move and play.
